Auditions & Criteria

Entries for the 2nd Awards Dinner have now closed, To take part in the auditions for Round 3, complete and submit your entry form located on the right of the page.


Entry Criteria


  • Entries for auditions close 24/11/18
  • Auditions will be held at the CWA ROOMS MOSS VALE
  • To participate in the auditions, entrants must be in Year 7 - Year 12 for 2018
  • Entrants need to be between 12 and 18 years old as at the 31st December 2019 and reside in the geographical boundaries of the Wingecarribee, Wolondilly or Mulwaree Shires, NSW.
  • Entrants must be a secondary school student studying at a school located in the geographical boundaries of the Wingecarribee Shire, NSW.
  • Entrants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Entrants will pay a $25.00 application fee upon submission and acceptance of their entry.
  • Entrants have read and accepted the Application and Rules relating to entering this competition.


NOTE: THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS FOR STUDENTS FOR ENTRY. STUDENTS CAN HAVE CURRENT SINGING TEACHER/SINGING LESSONS.


Finallists


  • Finalists will need to be able to attend the Award Final Dinner on the 23rd February 2019 
  • Finalists must be able to offer and introduce a song (accompanied or unaccompanied) upto a maximum total 4 minutes duration.
  • Up to 8 performers will be selected from the 2nd round of auditions to perform in the Awards Final.
  • Finalists will be able to rehearse at the venue on the day of the final. 
  • An official accompanist will be accompanying finalists if required.
  • Finalist to organise rehearsal time to ensure they are suitably prepared for finals.


Awards & Prizes


The winner of the Awards dinner will receive the following:


  • $400.00 cash prize money
  • Singing lessons provided by Wingecarribee Vocal Muster singing teacher valued at $500.00
  • A voucher to the value of $600 for their choice of either PowerPoint Music, Bowral or a recording session at a professional recording studio.


The runner up of the Awards Dinner will receive the following:


  • $200.00 cash prize money
  • Singing lessons provided by Wingecarribee Vocal Muster singing teacher valued at $250.00 
  • A voucher to the value of $300 for their choice of either PowerPoint Music, Bowral or a recording session at a professional recording studio.
